Mina Nawe Group Member Zanele Maseko Dies! Mzansi has suffered yet another loss as popular Afro-pop group member Zanele ‘Mazet’ Maseko has passed away.
The sad news was confirmed on the group’s twitter account on Monday. “It is with shattered hearts to announce that we’ve lost who we are as a band and family – our songstress Zanele ‘Mazet’ Maseko passed away this morning. We humbly ask for your support during this difficult time as we hold hands with her family, friends and colleagues,” the statement read.
Friends and family have since been sending their condolences as well as sharing memories of the now late singer. Kalawa Jazmee producer and family member Sipho Pollack Maseko also posted on social media saying, “To think that we had so much planned for 2020, I am shattered.”
The group rose to fame after the release of their hit single where I wanna be and the 36 year-old was the lead singer of the group. The cause of death has not yet been revealed however fans have expressed their shock and disbelief of the news.
