Ok so it looks like Ntsiki Mazwai woke up in a venting mood once again but, this time around we think that her argument is quite valid.
Ntsiki took to Twitter to share an open letter that she wrote to her ‘brothers’ in the Hip Hop industry.
The nominations for the SA Hip Hop Awards have been revealed and well, there aren’t many females on the list as Hip Hop is considered to be a male dominated industry.
Ntsiki starts off her letter with:
“Dear Brothers in SA Hip Hop. This letter is long overdue. I write this letter as one of the women in Hip Hop. You have conveniently told SA that we don’t exist. Truth is…we do exist and there are MANY of us……some of us are even doper than our male counterparts and you know it.” (Read her full letter HERE.)
She goes on to share her thoughts on SA Hip Hop in a series of Tweets where she calls all men in the Hip Hop industry ‘dickriders’ and says that the Hip Hop Awards are just a wanking session for all local rappers.
