Watch! DiepCity’s Chrispen Nyathi Reacts To His Major Award Win. The 5th edition of the annual Royalty Soapie Awards recently took place on September 18th and we watched out favourite actors get the recognition they deserve. Many popular actor got nods for popular roles and Mzansi magic telenovela DiepCity bagged the most nominations and wins.
New comer Chrispen who stars on the Black Brain production as Pastor Charleston was among the talented actors that were nominated for the Viewers Choice Award. Throughout the voting period, the nominees have been campaigning for votes on social media until the voting lines were closed.
On the night, Nyathi won the Viewers Choice Award and he is still in disbelief. Taking to social media, the actor shared the glorious moment on stage and thanked his supporters for making his dream a reality. Chrispen expressed how grateful he is for all the votes as they all contributed to the success of his career.
“By the people I have been crowned. This is your choice, this is “Viewers Choice”. Am proud to announce that your votes weren’t in vein, these are the fruits.” he wrote.
The actors congratulated him on the win sharing how he is very much deserving of the award. The night hosted by actress Enhle-Mbali Mlotshwa and Felix Hlophe was a total success and they definitely dressed for the occasion, especially the red carpet. Candice Modiselle hosted the red carpet interviews with the attendees and the night was an overall success.
Winners for the night also included Zolisa Xaluva and Thembi Seete as Melusi Dlamini and Gladys Dlamini in Gomora Season 2, Lusanda Mbane, Jessica Nkosi and many more.
