Somizi Explains Why He Can’t Win With Trolls After Posting His Latest Rich Mnisi Purchase. Somgaga is all about rocking the most lavish and expensive brands from Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Fendi and the works, but he also does do his part in supporting local brands.
In recent times, celebrity designer Rich Mnisi came under fire on twitter once again for what many say is extorting the xiTsonga culture in his latest collection.
Mnisi’s latest range called the Hiya Kaya collection, includes a Xibelani Skirt which is selling for a whooping R59, 000, crafted from 5km of 100% Merino Wool knotted onto nickel plated d-rings attached to a leather waist belt and the masses are shook.
Celebrities have since come out to show support to the designer after being trolled for his expensive clothing including Black Coffee, and now Somizi who took to twitter to share that he has purchased the designer Xibelani along with other Rich Mnisi clothing items.
“Whilst waiting for shibhelani I decided to buy something small for tomorrow” he wrote.
Somizi’s support has now landed him on the top of the trends and tweeps are asking for proof of purchase as some celebrities dupe fans into thinking they purchase expensive items but in actual fact they don’t.
“At least attach proof of payment bcoz we know this promo scam” the tweep wrote.
Som Som relied to the tweep claiming that he is not in the business of pleasing twitter as trolls always find a way to create a toxic environment.
“andizi shem….then another troll will tell me I shud have donated it to some ntonintoni phela nina ur never satisfied in these streets….one thing u shud know about me I support local brands and I buy most of the times including this one” he wrote.
