Skeem Saam Actor Mlungisi Mathe Opens Up About The Acceptance Of His Ancestral Journey. In more recent times we have witnessed more celebs sharing the news of the their ancestral journey’ and yet another well known actor has revealed that have also accepted their calling.
A few weeks ago, TV host Luyanda Potwana shared that he too has begun is training to becoming a sangoma however, he has kept the news private to respect custom.
On the other hand, Art And Culture spokesperson Masechaba Ndlovu received some scrutiny from her followers for sharing an image of herself during her training while performing a ritual.
Recently, Skeem Saam actor Mlungisi Mathe opened up to the Daily Sun publication about his ancestral journey and how it has impacted his life. According to the actor he has been practicing as a Sangoma for a while now, however he is currently training in other forms of traditional healing practices.
Mlungisi shared that the journey has been rather confusing for him however, the knowledge he already had has been helping him through it. A lot of revelations have occurred for the actor since beginning his journey that have unanswered many questions he has had from a young age.
“I found out about stuff I didn’t know about myself, stuff I didn’t understand from a young age, I know understand why some things happened” He said.
The actor shared the down side of having such a powerful gift, claiming that he wouldn’t wish the hard journey upon anyone. According to the actor the journey is very hard because you begin to lose yourself at a point.
“Amadlozi are using you and getting their first chance at life through you” he said.
Mathe began his training at the age of 15 and although he got multiple signs of his gift in the form of dreams and spirits however, because he had no idea what the meaning of this was, he took some time to accept it.
“A lot of things got ruined. If you take time to accept the calling your ancestors think your being disrespectful “ he said.
The eHostela actor shared that he is more of a spiritualist and a medium who interprets peoples dreams and journeys. This does sometimes get int he way of his career where we would have to leave what he is currently doing to go an help another person.
