Bujy Bikwa Breaks His Silence With An Official Statement Following His Arrest. Former Metro FM presenter Bujy Bikwa may have dug his own grave after assaulting rapper Boity Thulo with a bottle on her face. Following the altercation Boity opened a case of assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm against Bujy at the Midrand Police Station where Bikwa was arrested.

Bikwa was supposed to make an appearance at the Midrand Magistrates Court on Friday however, the case was postponed to the following week and Bujy unfortunately spent the weekend in jail. The Cula Sibone host appeared in Court on Wednesday where he was granted R2000 bail and strict orders to stay away from the victim and all the witnesses that were present that day.

Images from the gruesome night of Boity’s attack have since been circulating on social media and the masses are shook. The photo shows Boity being escorted out of the venue wearing a white shirt covered in blood and her hair also looked a bit roughed up. Social media users and other celebs have spoken up on twitter over the matter in support of Boity.

Bujy broke his silence on social media and shared an official statement over the GBV allegations made against him claiming that he has had the worst few days since the incident. After arguing that he is not the abuser that he has been labeled, Bikwa detailed how he was also verbally and physically assaulted by the rapper and was told to take it like a man.

“Being kicked and punched while being told that “I am a man, I am a man,” I must take it. The pain of suffering of having to let a woman abuse me verbally and physically while trying to contain myself and holding her hands to stop was not enough until witnesses managed to defuse the situation. That did not make matters subtle, as it was continued that I was insulted.” he wrote.

He added that a counter case of common assault has also been opened against the culprit with the hopes of justice being served.

It seems like Bujy was called in to order about his statement as he has now shared an altered version of it claiming that he regrets what transpired on the night as he could have handled the situation in a better manner.

He added that he will no longer be commenting on the matter as it has now been handed to the higher court. Bujy has put his podcast The Queer Way Of Life on hold until an outcome has been reached.

” I humbly request that I am granted the opportunity to resolve this matter privately as I wait for the courts to make a (deliberation)” the statement says.

Social media users are livid that members of the LGBTQ community are not privy to cancel culture and have dragged Somizi into the debate claiming that he too got a pass after allegedly abusing his now estranged husband Mohale Motaung.
