Rapper Gigi Lamayne is starting a fresh chapter in her life after getting baptized. She recently shared the special moment with her fans on Instagram, posting beautiful images from her baptism ceremony.
In a heartfelt message, Gigi wrote, “To God be the glory. He is faithful. He is a God of second chances. He never gives up, until we give in. Thank you to my spiritual leaders, amazing family, friends, partner, and strangers who helped me to this point. I’m so glad to be part of such an amazing kingdom. To serve, and to be purposeful. Through the adversities, forgiving oneself, and starting all over, there was another in the fire standing next to me! In God we trust.”

In recent months, more South African celebrities have also openly shared their spiritual journeys. Actor Lunga Shabalala revealed that he was baptized earlier this year in March. Actress Candice Modiselle also reflected on her own baptism in 2023. She explained that while she was baptized as a baby, it was important for her to make the decision as an adult. Candice shared, “On the 28th of May, I became a NEW CREATION IN CHRIST. For context, I was baptized as a baby, far too young to understand the magnitude of this moment. I imagine many of us can relate.”
