Born Duduzile Ngwenya, she was raised in a family with deep ties to music with her father, DJ Choc, and uncle, DJ Zan D, influential in developing her passion for music.

Despite her family’s musical background, she had to work her way up, holding various jobs to support herself while pursuing her music dreams.

Her resilience paid off when she broke into the Amapiano scene with hits like “Umsebenzi Wethu” and “Catalia” skyrocketing her to fame.

Launching her record label is part of Du’s broader mission to help aspiring artists navigate the music industry. Her own struggles and successes have shaped her approach to mentoring, as she believes the right guidance can help young musicians thrive.

“With all the businesses I have, this one is very close to my heart. Music has money if you do it the right way,” she wrote.

Her mentorship is helping to create a sustainable future for South African music. By investing in the next generation, she is not only shaping careers but also proving that success can be shared.

With her record label, Du continues to be an inspiring force in Mzansi’s music scene, proving that success isn’t just about individual achievements but about lifting up others as well.

She also owns an events management company that organizes various entertainment events, a beauty brand featuring her own makeup line, and a clothing line that reflects her stylish aesthetic.

Additionally, as a social media influencer, she collaborates with brands to promote their products.
