The president of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa has joined the tall list of individuals who have congratulated Nigerian billionaire and former Nigerian minister of finance, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala.
This comes after the renowned economist made confirmed as the Director-General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) just recently.
Taking to his official Twitter handle, the president wrote;
“Heartfelt congratulations to the new @WTO Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala. Ms @NOIweala is the first woman and first African to lead this global institution. Her election signals a global unity of purpose and demonstrates a strong commitment to deepening gender equality.”
