Former Miss Universe Zozibini Tunzi and Luthando Mluleki Bolowana celebrated their union with a traditional Xhosa wedding ceremony on Saturday, March 29, 2025.
The event took place in Tunzi’s home village, Sidwadweni, near Tsolo in the Eastern Cape.
Tunzi looked radiant in an elegant off-white umbhaco dress with an off-the-shoulder design, perfectly complemented by a striking turquoise blue beaded neckpiece with an orange trim draping over her shoulders. She completed her look with a traditional Xhosa headpiece.
Her husband coordinated with her ensemble, wearing the groom’s version of Xhosa wedding attire, adorned with matching blue and orange beading.
His staff, wrapped in colorful beads, was a symbol of pride and tradition.
Their outfits beautifully reflected the rich heritage of the Xhosa people.

Their traditional wedding comes just a week after their white wedding that took place at Belair Pavillion in Paarl in the Western Cape.
Set against the breathtaking vineyards and mountain backdrop, the ceremony was a true fairytale affair.
On the day, she wore a custom-made white gown featuring intricate lace details, 3D flowers and a flowing train by Vietnamese designer Phan Huy.
The gown took three months to complete and involved many stages and dedicated artisans, totalling 700 hours of work.

During the intimate wedding, Tunzi surprised her husband by singing a song she wrote for him two years ago.
Tunzi’s journey to marriage remained a well-kept secret until she surprised Mzansi with breathtaking images from her white wedding.
The revelation left fans and admirers in awe, as she had kept her relationship private.
