The Funny Chef is Off the Market!

Popular chef and comedian Lebogang Tlokana, better known as The Funny Chef, has officially been taken off the market! The bubbly personality, famous for her humor and love for food, recently revealed to her fans that her partner’s uncles visited her family—meaning wedding bells are on the horizon.

In true Funny Chef style, she couldn’t let the moment pass without a bit of humor. She shared a picture of herself dressed in full Makoti (bride) attire, jokingly asking her followers, “Do you believe it or not?”

She added more fun to her announcement by describing the moment in a lighthearted way.

“Ke no re ke tsoga ka kreya Men in black ba kukile d briefcase at my gate, ka botsa papaka gore a ba bulele, ke maketse ba nkapesa khiba, ka re ‘Eh bras?’ Mara ke yona.”

(Translation: I thought I was waking up when I saw Men in Black carrying a briefcase. I was at my gate and asked my dad if he could open for them. To my surprise, they covered me with a cloth. I said, ‘Eh, bro?’ But yeah, that’s what happened.)

Even The Funny Chef herself is still processing the moment, admitting that she’s in disbelief but excited about this new chapter. Fans and friends flooded her comments with congratulations, celebrating her journey to marriage.

Her best friend, well-known DJ and media personality Lamiez Holworthy, shared a touching message, saying:

“You deserve to be this happy.”

Just a few days before her big news, The Funny Chef celebrated her 35th birthday. Lamiez Holworthy took to social media to wish her best friend a happy birthday with a heartfelt message:

“My best friend turned 35 yesterday. I could write a book about you @the_funnychef, but you know my heart, Dawg. I love you, I appreciate you, and I am blessed to have you in my life.”
