Due to our rich cultural heritage, South Africa has different women from different cultures such as Zulu, Indian, coloured, etc.

We also have women who have re-defined what beauty is and have seen women remain icons even today, whether it’s for their style, signature hair or looking young.

In Mzansi, we have witnessed a huge change over time in terms of societal beauty standards, and women like Basetsana Kumalo and Connie Ferguson are still known for their signature looks that were and still are admirable.

Actress and TV personality Nomzamo Mbatha is known for her embracing her natural, make-up face. Mbatha is considered the “epitome of natural beauty” by many of her fans across all social media platforms.

Zozibini Tunzi, the former Miss SA 2019 title holder, was the first-ever short-haired beauty queen to win the title.

Till today, the 28-year-old is still talked about, and whenever the season of beauty pageants starts, she always trends number one on all social media platforms.
