This accolade sees Mauritius topping the list above other famed romantic locales such as Bali and the Maldives, solidifying its stature in the luxury travel market.

Richard Duval, Minister of Tourism, expressed pride in this significant recognition: “This accolade reflects Mauritius’s commitment to providing an unparalleled experience for honeymooners.

“Our island offers more than just beautiful beaches, it’s a destination where luxury meets authenticity, creating perfect moments for couples starting their life journey together.”

Hoi An in Vietnam was placed fourth, with Phuket, Santorini, Zanzibar, Florence, La Fortuna de San Carlos in Costa Rica and St Lucia in the Caribbean rounding out the top ten best honeymoon destinations.

The awards also spotlighted London as the top Destination in the World, Osaka, Japan emerged as the No 1 Trending Destination, while Seoul in South Korea was recognised as the best Solo Travel Destination and Rome, Italy, earned its title as the best Food Destination, globally.
