Khanyi Mbau is slowly but surely recovering from her recent blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), and the media personality is ready to show off her transformation. After undergoing the procedure in August 2024, Khanyi has been keeping her followers updated on her recovery journey. The first glimpse of her post-surgery look left many shocked as she shared images of herself wrapped in bandages, her face swollen and flushed.
Now, three months later, Khanyi is starting to flaunt her new face, much to the excitement of her fans. In a recent Instagram post, she shared a casual moment at a dining table with her partner, Kudzai Mushonga, and friends. Shortly after, Khanyi posted a reel featuring multiple shots of herself, highlighting her progress.
Despite not being fully healed, Khanyi’s confidence is shining through. She recently appeared in a commercial for Netflix’s upcoming reality show Young, Famous and African Season 3, showcasing her updated look. However, Khanyi clarified that while her transformation is visible, she is still in the midst of her recovery process.
According to True Love, in an Instagram exchange, Khanyi explained that her recovery journey is ongoing: “This is the third [month], inflammation takes five months for tissues to settle, but complete healing takes a year. My face is still forming. Still a process.”
