We have just witnessed Miss Universe and just before Christmas, one lucky hunk will be crowned Mr Universe. Taking place in Los Angeles on December 22, this year’s Mr Universe will feature South Africa’s very own Ntando Lurwengu.
The reigning Mr Universe South Africa will be competing with men across the world and he will be dressed by House of Ole, an African luxury brand owned by Ole Ledimo.
The brand has been named as the official fashion sponsor for Lurwengu as he sets off to represent the nation.
House of Ole has dressed many prominent figures, including rapper Priddy Ugly, Minister of Small Business Development Stella Ndabeni Abrahams and local DJ Lamiez Holworthy to name a few.
The brand recently launched its Autumn/Winter 25 collection titled “Thabure” at South African Fashion Week.
“Thabure is the name of the horse of Chief Lerotholi, the grandson of King Moshoeshoe, the founder of the Basotho nation. Thabure, which means the destroyer of the enemy, inspired our nonchalant season,” explained Ledimo.
Meanwhile, as Lurwengu prepares for Mr Universe, he hopes to make his country proud and asks South Africans to vote for him.
“I’m entering the last stretch of preparation and I look forward to representing South Africa on the global stage.
“A big thank you to everyone who has shown and continues to show me love and support on this journey. I appreciate you all more than you can ever imagine,” he said.
“If you’d like to see me earn a spot in the top 10, moving me a step closer to becoming your Mister Universe as well as the fan vote choice favourite, you can cast your vote by clicking on the link in my bio.”
