The fiery on-screen drama between Neetasha Singh Bugwandin and Naliyani Uma, which played out during the reunion episodes of The Mommy Club, has now spilled over into real-life conflict.

The tension between the two cast members started when Naliyani accused Neetasha of confronting her in a mall, accompanied by her husband, where she allegedly asked, “Are we beefing?” and made aggressive gestures. But the drama didn’t stop there.

Naliyani went further, revealing in the reunion that Neetasha’s modelling agency, ModelCamp SA, was behind a troll account targeting her. She even provided evidence, including documents from a private investigator, to support her claims.

According to , Neetasha shared that the confrontation was triggered by something she overheard while preparing for the shoot, which was further intensified by the news of a close family member’s passing. While she denied any aggression towards Naliyani, she admitted to confronting her about what she had heard.

However, when Asharia Parsad, a witness to the incident, backed Naliyani’s account, the situation escalated into an unproductive finger-pointing exchange, culminating in Neetasha walking off the set minutes into the shoot.

In response to the growing controversy, Neetasha released a statement addressing what she called “false narratives” aired during the reunion. She expressed her shock over the lies and the attack on her character, thanking her supporters for defending her during the emotionally draining ordeal.

Neetasha also took the opportunity to explain her side of the story, revealing that she had been harassed for nearly a year before the reunion and had filed complaints with production about the alleged mistreatment. “I take full accountability for my anger as it was justifiable and warranted,” she said, but denied any aggression, including the infamous “kicking down the door” claim.

The reality TV star further explained that she had been subjected to verbal, psychological, and emotional abuse and had even received death threats. To protect herself, she filed for a R5 million defamation lawsuit and a protection order.

“I applaud myself for eventually just standing up and walking out,” she said, emphasising that walking away from the hostile environment was an act of self-respect.

According to , while Neetasha did not directly name Naliyani as the person she is pursuing legal action against, it’s clear from the context of the feud who she is referring to.

Naliyani’s legal representative, Tashya Giyapersad, declined to comment on the matter, stating that any public comment would be inappropriate due to ongoing legal proceedings.
