SAPS spokesperson in the Western Cape, Captain Frederick van Wyk, said the 38-year-old was arrested on Thursday at the High Court in Cape Town.

“He faces a charge of possession of drugs by members attached to the Provincial Organised Crime detectives. According to reports the incident happened on October 17,” van Wyk said.

“His case was postponed for him to appear with the co-accused. Parker is not to make contact with State witnesses,” Ntabazalila said.

Last month, police arrested Ziyaad Poole and Moegamat Brown, who were reportedly caught with drugs in the holding cells.

The Cape Argus initially reported that a search was conducted during the court’s lunch hour. Brown, also known as ‘Bubbles’ was found with the drugs in his possession.

The search came after a number of complaints of items being passed between people in the court.

Cape Argus also reported that before proceedings, Parker withdrew at Brown’s defence.

Brown, alleged leader of the Terrible West Siders gang, is currently on trial for helping to plan an attempted hit on attorney, William Booth.
