“Our relationship could have ended a long time ago.” Those heartfelt words come from media personality Bontle Modiselle-Moloi, who recently opened up about how faith has been the foundation of her enduring relationship with husband and rapper Ricardo Moloi, known as Priddy Ugly.
In an interview with Daily Sun, Bontle, 34, shared that her belief in God has been crucial in sustaining her 15-year relationship, despite the ups and downs. “When someone you love is going through a tough time, that’s when you step in and carry the weight. As a woman of faith, I believe in God’s promises. If I only walked by sight, I could have left a long time ago,” she explained.
Bontle also emphasised the importance of keeping their relationship private and staying away from negativity. “We highly don’t respond to negativity. We don’t give it a play. We believe in protecting what we have,” she said, adding that this includes their relationship with their daughter.
The couple recently celebrated a major milestone when Priddy Ugly won Best Hip-Hop Album at the South African Music Awards (SAMAs). Reflecting on this achievement, Bontle shared her pride and gratitude, saying, “The only words I could utter the whole time were ‘Thank you, God,’ repeatedly. I’ve seen the highs and the lows of his career, and to see him finally achieve something as beautiful as this is truly fulfilling.”
