The Letsitele South African Police Service (SAPS) under Mopani District, in Limpopo have begun a murder investigation following the horrible discovery of a heavily burned body on the side of R71 public road.
This burned body was discovered near Zanghoma village on Wednesday, October 30, at around 4.45pm.
SAPS spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba said according to accounts, police were alerted of the occurrence and responded quickly to the site.
When they arrived, they discovered wood and stones piled on top of the deceased body, which had been burned beyond recognition.
“The motive behind the horrific incident is unknown at this stage and police investigations are ongoing,” said Ledwaba.
