Manie Libbok and his high school sweetheart, Verna-Lee Arries, tied the knot on Saturday, October 5, and it looks like it was an elegant affair.

The pair who got engaged in July last year, said their “I Dos” at Seeplaas in Groot Brakrivier near Mossel Bay.

The venue, which is often used for weddings, has a breathtaking view of the ocean.

The bride stunned in a simple yet classic white figure-hugging dress with a square neckline and train.

She kept her makeup natural and swept her hair back into a low bun, while the 27-year-old Springbok flyhalf looked dapper in a camel suit with a matching bowtie.

The bridal party and guests all dressed in black which seems to have been the theme of the wedding.

In a video posted by You Magazine, you see that the lovely bride changed out of her long wedding dress into a short voluminous dress with a big bow on the back for the reception.

She paired her reception dress with a pair of silver heels.

It didn’t take long for the newly wed Mrs Libbok to change her surname on social media.

The lovebirds met in Grade 11 at Hoërskool Outeniqua in George.

“He seemed to me like someone who knows what he wants,” Verna-Lee told You Magazine.

Manie even joined the school choir to be close to her.

The pair officially started dating in 2016 and then got engaged in July 2023 at Klein Roosboom Boutique Winery in Cape Town.

Manie missed the Stormers’ match against Zebre Parma in Italy, for good reason, of course.
