South African media personality Zizo Tshwete brought her signature grace to the Miss Earth South Africa 2024 event as its host, where Jessica Nel from Centurion was crowned the new queen. Nel, 25, is passionate about sustainable fashion and will represent South Africa at the international Miss Earth competition in Manila, Philippines, on November 9, 2024.
Jessica, a graphic designer and social media manager, shared her excitement, saying, “Woke up today with a heart full of gratitude and excitement as I officially step into the role of Miss Earth South Africa… I can’t wait to make a meaningful impact.”
Zizo, who has hosted the event before, expressed her joy on Instagram, saying, “When I’m invited BACK to host an event I feel so good! The work we do requires real effort—you can’t take a shortcut in the preparation. I truly LOVE my work!”
Miss Earth South Africa also praised Zizo for her professionalism and dedication, sharing, “ZIZO, YOU ARE OUR ICON, OUR SISTER, OUR FAMILY… As always, you were formidable on Saturday night.”
