Former Mamelodi Sundowns and Al Ahly head coach Pitso Mosimane is in demand on the continent.
Mosimane is currently without a job after his short-term contract with Saudi Pro League club Abha came to an end at the conclusion of last season.
During the South African off-season, he was linked to a return to the PSL with Kaizer Chiefs, but the Soweto giants ultimately appointed Nasreddine Nabi.
The 60-year-old Mosimane, though, could now land up in Morocco after it was reported that Raja Casablanca were thinking of hiring him as their new coach.
This comes after Bosnian Rusmir Cviko was given the boot just two months in his reign since taking over the role from former Orlando Pirates mentor Josef Zinnbauer.
The Moroccan champions find themselves in 13th place in the league, with three points from their three games.
A move to Morocco would see Mosimane go head-to-head for the Botola Pro 1 against his protege Rulani Mokwena, who is in charge of Wydad Casablanca. Mokwena worked as Mosimane’s assistant coach at Sundowns, and moved into the big job following his departure to Egypt’s Al Ahly.
Arabic news website winwin.com report that Raja Casablanca officials are impressed with Mosimane’s pedigree when it comes to winning the CAF Champions League, while his experience of working in North Africa with Al Ahly is also beneficial.
