‘We don’t have top strikers’ Natal Rich Boys decry lack of firing power after Orlando Pirates loss

Richards Bay FC head coach Brandon Truter, says he is concerned about his side’s inability to convert their chances after their 1-0 loss to Orlando Pirates at the King Zwelithini Stadium on Sunday.

The KwaZulu Natal-based outfit have scored just one goal in four matches in the Betway Premiership so far this season.

Speaking after the loss on Sunday, Truter said the ‘Natal Rich Boys’ don’t have three top strikers like some of the other teams in the league.

“Definitely an area of concern, you can coach and coach but it also boils down to a bit of quality.

“Let’s face it we don’t have a Tshegofatso Mabasa, we don’t have the luxury of three top strikers or other teams in the league we have Thabang Sibanyoni who was signed from the first division.

“We have Yanela Mbuthuma, but we will grow and potential needs to play to grow. Truter said.

Truter also commended his side, pointing out that they were coachable.

“What is good about this team is that they are coachable and at this level you should be looking to a bit more quality to affect games.

“And that can take the chances that we create in the game so it’work in progress, it’s the fourth game but there’s lots of positives,” Truter added.

Richards Bay are currently in 10th place in the league table and will hoping for an improve showing in their next encounter against Stellenbosch.
