Lacoste is a successful French worth billions, apparently the brand was founded in 1933 by a legendary tennis player and entrepreneur Rene Lacoste and his business partner Andre Gillier. It sells clothing, Footwear, sportsgear, sportswear, eywear, leather goods, perfumes, towels and luxury watches.
The can be easily recognized by it’s green alligator logo and Lacoste written underneath. Mr Rene Lacoste was nicknamed ” the crocodile ” by his fans because of his tenacity in the tennis court. He then started embroiding the crocodile on his suits in appreciation of the nickname given by his fans, however he did not know he was creating a global brand.
In 1929, Mr Lacoste finally introduced his clothing line called ”Lacoste” for his loyal fans and people who honor his legacy worldwide. Little did he know that his clothing line will last for over 90 years.
