The Mpumalanga branch of the EFF lost four of its most prominent members in a vehicle accident earlier this week, and the party is once again in grief. The disaster claimed the life of a local councillor, two of his siblings, and a politically active comrade.
A tragic vehicle accident claims the lives of yet more members of the EFF.
Hillary Gardee, the daughter of Godrich Gardee, the EFF’s International Relations Director, was brutally killed near Mbombela just weeks ago. After three suspects were apprehended, the politician’s farewell statement broke many hearts.
The four people murdered in this accident were all involved in a forthcoming by-election, which will be place on June 1st. South Africa’s fourth-largest city has yet to get the fifth member of the delegation.
The state of the roads in Mpumalanga is under scrutiny.
The EFF has issued a statement regarding the distressing experience. They released the identities of the victims and called on Mpumalanga’s government to fix the “poor condition” of the province’s road infrastructure immediately.
As a result of an unfortunate accident that occurred in Mpumalanga on May 23, four members of the EFF lost their lives. JS Moroka Municipality by-election organizers were on their way back to their homes after a long day of campaigning.” Lucky and Johannes Mashamaite, two siblings who have a very ill sister, are among those who have died. Two other people were killed in the attack: Councillor Bella Malata and Fighter Nozulu Matshika. “We extend our sincere sympathies to the family.”
“We all know the plight of the roads in Mpumalanga, and we would want to ask the authorities in the province to give special attention to improving them.”
