Ordering food online is one of the most convenient things you can do, because the food is delivered right to your door, without you having to leave your home. However when mistakes are made it can quickly lose its convenience and create problems, Here’s what happened to one South African man who ordered Debonair Pizza online and what other South Africans had to say about it.
The situation :
In a post recently uploaded to “The real hello Peter South Africa” Facebook page, one man tells us about the bad service he received from Debonair Pizza at Mdantsane City Center.
According to him he had ordered a pizza and chicken wings for a total of R209.80, However when the driver arrived he only gave him a triple decker pizza before leaving. The man had to call them back to fix his order, which took them twenty minutes and the food came cold.
However he doesn’t seem like the only person receiving bad service from Debonair Pizza outlets. Here’s how other South Africans responded to his story.
As we can see, all the reviews by these people are resoundingly negative.
My Opinion :
I believe Ordering fast food online completely loses its convenience if they bring you the wrong food or if the food they give you is cold or bad quality. At that point you may as well pick up the food yourself.
Instead I urge South Africans to learn how to prepare their favorite foods at home. This can be achieved by taking cooking courses, reading cook books or following tutorials online. If you can’t do this, you can also buy premade frozen food in stores that you can heat up at your convenience.
