Nonhle Thema Vows To Never Audition For Working Gigs Again. The industry has proven on many occasions that it is a cut throat industry. We often see celebs not getting the flowers they deserve while they are still alive and only get honoured after they pass. Others have suffered the misfortune of spiralling down in the industry till eventually, nobody really cares about them.
That is arguably what happened to TV presenter and actress Nonhle Thema’s career after being the industry “it” girl for many years. After Thema “ruined” her career with some out of turn posts on social media, the masses quickly turned a blind eye to her impact in the media. The actress disappeared from the lime light for a while until she made a minor recovery with her acting career.
Since then, Nonhle has been working hard to get her career back on track and things have been going well for her. This until a few days ago when the former Channel O presenter remembered the powerhouse she is and vowed to no longer down playing her success. Taking to social media in a now deleted post, the Zabalza actress shared that she has eaten enough of the humble pie because people know what she is capable of.
Thema vowed to now start bossing up because she is done auditioning for gig and will not be doing it ever again. Nonhle added that she has surpassed the level of auditioning for gigs and will no longer be wasting her time on it. What you see is what you get with Nonhle and if you don’t need her, then don’t come to her because she doesn’t need you to.
The 40 year old actress urged the industry to show her a little more respect and put her on the pedestal that she has worked hard to reach throughout her lengthy career.
“Let me fetch my own bag. Gosh I’m tired of being humble let me get my bag for talent I will no longer audition for no one , if you book me you book me but I’m no longer in the level to audition. Take it or leave it, trust me when I say I will no longer audition for anything in SA. If you don’t need me, don’t come to me…respect me. I’m done auditioning wasting me precious time. That will never happen again. I’m done” she wrote.
Nonhle is putting the action behind her word after announcing the major project that she will be releasing in 2022. Taking to Instagram, Thema revealed that she will start casting for her biopic film in April 2022. The actress will be directing the film and will not be acting or appearing in the movie. This is why she wants fresh talent to portray her in the film which we think is going to be quite interesting.
“I will start casting for my Nonhle Thema Biopic in 2022 April 😍 if you think you can Play ME this is your chance I will be directing the film so I will not be acting any scenes as myself 🙏🏽I want fresh talent 😍 to play ME }TheNonhleThemaStoryBiopic” she wrote.
