Pic! Kayise Ngqula Celebrates Four Years In The Industry After Bagging Her First #OPW Presenting Gig. Mzansi has welcomed new faces over the years with the production of new shows. The industry has opened up to welcome new talent that has since become household names and have ventured into other forms of the industry. We were first introduced to TV presenter, actress and MC Kayise Ngqula in 2017 and she has never looked back.
Taking to Instagram, Kayise celebrated her four year anniversary in the industry since bagging her first presenting gig on Mzansi Magics Our Perfect Wedding. After joining South African’s in their homes every Sunday for a thrilling episode of two people becoming one through matrimony, she then ventured into acting and has starred in many popular TV shows.
Staying relevant in the cut throat industry is undoubtedly one of the most difficult things to do as many have been ousted by it but we are happy that Ngqula managed to keep her shine. The mother of one took to her Instagram story and shared a post from four years ago, when she first set foot in the industry. The House Of Zwide actress shared her gratitude for the past few years which have been quite the rollercoaster for her.
“It’s been 4 years!! What a journey. Still grateful for it all” she wrote.
Ngqula was first introduced to Mzansi via the OPW presenter search. In 2017 where she walked away with a whopping R100 000 courtesy of Mzansi Magic to kick start her career.
“I am over the moon and I cannot wait to start this new journey. I want to give myself fully to this process. One of the things I love about OPW is how it celebrates diversity and even though I’m Xhosa, I hope to share myself with viewers and include all amazing cultures we have in this country” said Kayise.
Since losing her husband in a tragic car accident, the mother of one has used her pain to empower other widows with her YouTube show Life After Dark With kayise. The mother of one has also gone on to star in popular shows including Isono, Housekeepers, House Of Zwide and more.
