Ann Malinga Honours Late Husband Robbie Malinga’s Birthday With A New Book Dedicated To Him. South Africa has lost some legendary entertainers in the industry but we love how their families have kept their legacy going even though they are no longer with us.
Yesterday would have marked the late Robbie Malinga‘s 53rd birthday and his wife Ann Malinga has released an autobiography in his honour titled Robbie Malinga: The Legend. The book launch took place on November 8th and Ann is beyond grateful that the book was a success.
Taking to social media this morning, Ann expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed to the book and helped her not only share her story but also her late husband’s story.
“Finally….My Baby was born last night in the most most Beautiful way I had imagined. I couldn’t have done it without Prayers that kept me alive and strong enough to share not only my story but Robbie’s story with you. I couldn’t have done it alone without the Legend himself @lesleymofokeng who held my hand throughout and introduced me to his world of Authors. Thank You for making my dream a beautiful reality. I’d like to share my Beautiful experience working with Les and all I have learned from him, from being hard working, Humble, Polite, Patient, Calm in my approach to situations and overall in being a Beautiful warm person. Right now I have no words But tears of GRATITUDE rolling down my cheeks. Kea Leboga Mofokeng” ann said.
The mother of two also thanked her children, friends and colleagues that have worked with Robbie who were also present to celebrate the late legend, and shared their individual experiences with the award winning singer/songwriter.

Anne revealed that the book is made of three parts which include Robbie life story from birth until his untimely death in 2017. the second part features the lessons that Ann has learned over the years as a widow and concludes with a dedication letter from Robbie’s eldest son Robbie Malinga Junior to his younger sister Zanokuhle, who was aged two at the time of the singer’s passing.
Robbie passed away on 25 December 2017 following a short battle with pancreatic cancer. Followers and celebrity friends congratulated Ann on the amazing milestone, sharing their excitement to experience the emotional journey in the book.
