Did Pearl Thusi Have A Shady Exchange With The ANC’s Athi Geleba?. The government elections are three days aways and the the streets of social media have been rather messy. The ANC in particular have been a subject of debate on social media recently following years of corruption and failing the people.
Celebs have also been very vocal about the elections and the current ruling party and one person who has rather been unapologetically opinionated about the African National Congress is actress businesswoman Pearl Thusi.
Thusi has been tweeting about how politics is such a tricky game because all the political parties have their own flaws. The actress has also not shied away from sharing how disappointing Ramaphosa and his cabinet have been throughout their governance. Pearl urged the public to think of all the ANC’s corruption scandals and economic failures that have come about before casting their vote on November 1st.
Clearly the award winning actress struck a big nerve with the government and have sent their representatives to try and mute Pearl on the sidelines. Taking to social media, Thusi revealed that the presidency’s head of digital communications who is Athi Geleba, has tweeted her in private following a politically related post that the actress shared on her twitter.
Thusi did not mention which of her tweets had the government hot under the collar however, she claims the post was not directed at the ruling party and is confused as to why they are so phased by it.
The Queen Sono actress added that just like everyone else, she wishes the party chose to do better for the people and hates how much the party has plain out disrespected the people time and time again.
“Imagine the head of digital communications of the presidency tweeting someone they don’t follow- if my tweet didn’t matter, why respond to something not directed at u? We all wish the ANC chose to do better. We don’t hate the ANC- we hate how they blatantly disrespect citizens” she wrote.
Athi who is allegedly dating DJ Shimza was also dragged into a Twar between Mmusi Maimane and the Hangawt restaurant owner following the opening of a dodgy sports stadium in the Eastern Cape allegedly worth R15 million. Shimza defended his lady claiming that the costs do in fact check out however, Maimane thinks he is just being a good boyfriend.
We wonder what kind of words were exchanged between the two.
