5 Interesting Points Ntsiki Mazwai Made In Her Open Letter To Makhadzi. Makhadzi seems to have struck a nerve for many after posting a picture wearing an ANC themed outfit. Tweeps slammed the singer for supporting the corrupt party, claiming she is being used by the ANC for the upcoming local government elections.

In her defence, Makhadzi made reference to Brenda Fassie’s alliance with the party, claiming she is supporting the same cause that MaBrrr did however, many people including Ntsiki Mazwai would beg to differ.

The GBV activist didn’t hesitate to disclose how against she is of the political side that the singer has chosen and has penned a lengthy open letter to Makhadzi on her Facebook account. In the letter, Mazwai complimented Makhadzi for winning the hearts of South African’s, and has warned her of the African national Congress trying capitalizing on that.

On the other hand, EFF leader Julius Malema has spoken up against the critisism faced by the singer, reminding the public how it is everyone’s constitutional right to associate with which ever party they please.

“You don’t need to explain yourself to anyone my sister, your freedom of association is protected by our Constitution. It’s your choice and we should respect it” he wrote.

There are a lot of interesting points that Mazwai has made in the open letter and we are breaking down just five, of the multiple interesting points she made that have gotten out attention.

1. You are too powerful to cheapen your brand by aligning it with the Phoenix massacre and the burning of food looted by the poor

In retaliation to the looting, the government deployed solders to collect all looted products from civilians and ordered that they be burned. The ANC also applauded the citizens who shot and killed innocent people in a racially fuelled war that stemmed from the looting.

2. You are too powerful to involve yourself in the power plays of old men hanging onto expired power

Ntsiki Mazwai claims that the political party and all it servants are holding on to power that came to an end a long time ago.

3. The only thing ANC represents right now is poverty, corruption and elitism. Are you sure you want to pick sides so early in your career?

Mazwai claims the political party no longer represents the people but rather poverty and everything that is wrong in this country.

4. you are being used to mobilize the people with a brand you built from pure creative energy?

The party is using the singer for the huge fan base that she created for herself, and urges that the singer to ditch the party before her fans ditch her.

5. When an artist aligns with a political party, then they have to turn a blind eye to the faults of that party

Mazwai claims that all celebs who are aligned with a political party have to turn a blind eye to their faults, and the ANC has a never ending list of faults that go as far back as 20 years ago.
