Watch! Ayanda Borotho Stars In Upcoming Blockbuster Horror Movie. Actress and author Ayanda Borotho has been working hard to expand her profile by venturing into other spaces within the industry. Borotho is the executive producer behind Mzansi Magic Hit Series Nqobile, which has been received well by fans.
Taking to Instagram, The Wounds actress has been teasing her followers about a huge announcement she was going to make on her social media very soon. The actress has finally let the cat out of the bag and has revealed that she has bagged a lead role in an upcoming movie.
In a video sharing more about the movie Borotho revealed the film is a horror movie titled Everyday Is Haloween. She shared how at first she wasn’t to keen on taking the role but after sitting with the team, she knew she had to do it. Ayanda revealed she has is very fearful of horror movies and she didn’t think she had it in her to do it.
According to Phil Mphela, the premise follows a mother and her daughter who are hunted down by a killer and end up trapped in a spiral of terror in their home.
The author shared in a post how the role was the scariest yet most fulfil thing she has ever done because it has helped her grow as an actress. Ayanda shared her sentiments about pushing yourself until perfection and has sworn to always try and better herself with her craft.
“The face you make when you’re getting into character for a new role…I’ve never done this before. It was the scariest and yet one of the most fulfilling things I’ve done. I don’t like being too comfortable. There’s no growth in doing what you already know over and over. So we delve into new territory, we fall over and and over (because we don’t know it all), until we get it right. We will keep pushing the boundaries and laying the foundation for generations to come. The movie debuts 31st October 2021 and will be available to rent on DStv, BoxOffice.
