Kenyan socialite, Muthoni Gitau has revealed that she does not have interest or desire to have children.
Muthoni Gitau said in a video although it’s her wish to be happily married to the man of her dreams in a blissful wedding ceremony established that she does not want to be a mother or step-mother, however, she can only be a mother to cats.
According to the content creator and interior designer, she made this decision when she was 10 years old and her parents are aware of her plans and have consented to it.
She averred that society has not given women the opportunity to choose if they want to be mothers and posited that most people don’t have a concrete reason why they want to procreate except for family continuation and legacy.
The socialite said;
“I SEE MYSELF WITH A PARTNER TRAVELLING THE WORLD AND THAT END THERE.
“I DON’T WANT TO GIVE BIRTH, I DON’T WANT TO MOTHER.. I EVEN DON’T WANT TO BE A STEP MUM, THE ONLY MUM I WANT TO BE IS A CAT MUM.”
Muthoni added;
“WOMEN HAVE BEEN CONDITIONED TO SERVE MEN AND ARE NOT ALLOWED TO CHOOSE WHAT THEY REALLY WANT IN LIFE. IT’S OKAY TO LIVE, IT’S OKAY TO CHOOSE YOURSELF.”
