Watch! BET’s Behind The Story Returns With A New Host. TV personality and radio host Nomalanga Shozi has always been the girl in charge when it comes to BET Africa content. She has covered most of their celebrity interviews and red carpet coverages for the channel and now she has just bagged another hosting gig. It has been revealed by popular broadcasting news blogger that Shozi will be taking over as the host from one of Mzansi’s most loved TV queens for a show that has given many artists a platform to tell their story.
Actress and businesswoman Pear Thusi has a long history of hosting and MC-ing event and well known TV shows such as Tropica Island Of Treasure, Live Amp and more. Thusi has also hosted BET Africa’s celebrity interview talkshow Behind The Story and has hosted elite local celebs including the likes of Cassper, Connie Chiume and many more.
After being the gracious host of the show for four seasons, it looks like the show is now going a different direction with its new upcoming season. Taking to her Instagram account, Nomalanga revealed that she will be taking over from Pearl as the new host for BET’s Behind The Story which will be premiering in October.
The show seems like it will no longer have a virtual sit down discussion element as the promo shows Nomalanga and the guests having deep conversations while roaming the streets on a drive. The show will see the likes of Bongani Fassie, Norma Mngoma, Reason and more answer burning questions while on the road trip.
“You’ve seen me hint it in my stories, and now it’s here! It’s been a long time coming and I’m so excited to officially announce that I will be the new host for @bet_africa’s #BehindthestoryBET coming this October! Watch me as I hang out with some of the biggest names starting on the 9th of October at 18:30 CAT” she wrote.
Followers and fans of the TV personality congratulated her on securing the bag and have shared how excited they are to see what the new season will bring to the table.
