Skeem Saam Actor Patrick Seleka Admits To Abusing His Wife And Driving Her Into Depression. Marriage has its challenges and we have seen many celeb marriages fizzle out in the public eye. Skeem Saam actor Patrick Seleka is determined to right his wrongs when it comes to his marriage to wife Mmabaneng, after admitting that he has been abusive mentally and emotionally towards her in the past.

According to TshisaLive, the actor opened up about his marriage in a now deleted Instagram post, where he apologized to his wife for his actions and admitted to being the reason why she fell into depression. The actor also admitted to not being there for his wife whilst going through the challenging time in her life.

“The main reason my wife is going through her depression … I should say that all of it, is because of me. I am the reason she has been so depressed for so long and the one thing that’s the worst is I haven’t been there for her” he said.

This follows a post by Mmabaneng where she opened up about her depression and her followers questioned her husband Patrick if he played a hand in her mental health. The actor confessed to being “bad” husband from the beginning of their marriage as well as cheating on her, and also being the reason why she lost her job and her some of her friends.

According to the publication, this is not the first time that the actor has admitted to his abusing his wife on social media, following another deleted post where he detailed all of his past transgressions.

“I’m sorry for body shaming you. I’m sorry for calling you names. I’m sorry for swearing at you. I’m sorry for comparing you. I’m sorry for badmouthing you trying to hide everything. I’m sorry for screaming and shouting at you. I’m sorry for coming home drunk and just fighting you for no reason at all. I’m sorry for cheating countless times. I’m sorry for turning you into a joke and ‘ag shame, only if she knew’ to other women. I’m sorry for ruining everything for you. I’m sorry for destroying your friendships. I’m sorry for not being there for you.

“I’m sorry for not being the man I promised you to be. I’m sorry for all the nights you have cried yourself to sleep – whereas I was right next to you and I just ignored you. I’m sorry for landing you into depression and making you take antidepressants. I’m sorry for being a monster, not only to you but to our kids as well. I’m sorry for abusing you mentally, emotionally and verbally. I am sorry Mmabaneng,” his apology read

The actors aim of doing this is to take accountability for the part he played in the hardships of their marriage and his wife’s mental health, vowing to fix himself and hoping that his wife would one day forgive him. The actor and his wife seem to be in a better place now following his a previous appreciation post to his wife.
