Miss SA winner Liesl Laurie and her husband Dr Musa Mthombeni tied the knot this weekend in a traditional wedding surrounded by their loved ones and the bride and groom looked absolutely amazing in their attire.
Taking to social media, the newlyweds shared special moments from the special day and it looks like it was good vibes only. Musa looked very dapper in black two piece while the lady of the moment stole the show with a red number and later had an outfit change and wore a breathtaking multi coloured traditional dress with a matching head wrap.
When a wife gets married traditionally, it is part of the customs for the groom’s family to given her a new name and Liesl’s new name is Sithandiwe, which we think is very fitting. Musa who was made the happiest man in the world couldn’t contain his excitement of finally calling Liesl his wife.
“Went home for the weekend… it’s a smallayana thing for the weekend. 🖤Isssaaa wedding day” he wrote.
Fans and followers of the couple flooded the couple with congratulatory messages and wished them all the best on their journey ahead.
Th time to celebrate for the couple is now as they recently celebrated their one year anniversary. They each took to their social media accounts to give one another a shout out for they one year of happiness that they brought into each others lives. Of course Musa went the extra mile and penned a sweet message to his lady whom he is very smitten by.
“To a glorious year of being in love with you! Happy anniversary standwa sam” he wrote.
The pair celebrated with a romantic spa date where they treated themselves to relaxing massages and a five star 8 course meal at on of Jozi’s most elegant restaurants.
