Phindile Gwala Sets The Record Straight On The Brand New Car She Flaunted On Social Media. While most of us thought that April fools was long over, actress Phindile Gwala is still at it. The Muvhango actress had her followers fooled with her latest snap about buying a brand new car. Yesterday, Phindile posted a video of a white Discovery car that was newly purchased on her Instagram story.
Presumably her fans were over the moon for the actress and showered her with congratulatory messages, thinking that she had just bought herself a new car. It turns out that the car does not belong to her and was bought by her sister. A few hours later the actress burst our bubbles and came clean about the confusion.
It turns out that we are also at fault for the confusion as Phindile does not go by her maiden name Gwala anymore since marrying her model husband all of three years ago. Phindile now goes by Mrs Ngandu which is her husband Armando’s last name. She let it be known that this is the last time she is clarifying the misunderstanding about her last name, and those who get misled in future will just be left in the dark.
“This is the last time I say this….I changed my surname 3 years ago when I got married. I am not Miss Gwala but Mrs Ngandu” she wrote.
The actress added that she was very grateful for the kind messages she received from her followers on account of the misunderstanding, so at least something good came out of it.
We definitely fell for that one!!
