The Generation actress took to social media alert her followers on the fake account that has been created under her name.

The fake account has been busy, convincing social media users to join Bamboo Money, promising them big returns when they invest their cash into this pyramid scheme.

“FAKE Account Alert!!! Attached Facebook account is fake! Including the scam of taking money from people. Please share! People are stranded and sick minded using people like me. Be cautious. Do not invest!!!” Sophie wrote on her Facebook account.

Many of her fans have appreciated the alert and have also advised the actress to get her Facebook account verified so they can distinguish between fake account and her original account.

“Please have your account verified so it has that blue tick at the top just after your surname,” one fan wrote.

“Thank you for letting us know my diva. I know you’ll never stoop that low.” Lungster Ngelo Dee advised her to have her account verified,” another replied.

Meanwhile, the actress has had a tumultuous year regardless of the love and support she gets from her fans. Apart from the recent cyber identity theft incident, Sophie has also been a victim of bullying and many death hoaxes.

The actress has lost a lot of weight over the years due to her diabetic condition. She has also had to deal with death hoaxes on social media because of a few reckless and insensitive individuals.
