J’Something Shares The Personal Difficult Moment That Inspired Gold Certified Single ‘Mamela’. Creativity comes at the most random of times and often because one is going through a certain ordeal, that inspires them to put their thoughts into a specific art form to create a masterpiece. Award winning singer and chef J’Something had a similar experience, which lead to him writing a hit single that just got certified Gold.
Taking to Instagram, J’something shared the exciting news of their latest Amapiano inspired track titled Mamela having reached Gold Certification status. The proud musician shared a picture of Mi’casa holding their Gold plaques and penned a lengthy heartfelt note sharing a personal experience that lead to the genius that was the song.
J’Something real name ‘Joao da Fonseca’ shared that the song came about at one of his most difficult moment’s in life. This was around the time he was dealing with a medical emergency that seemed to life threatening, and promise of the future was not looking very promising. The TV personality shared that the beginning of the song was written upon the agonising personal experience as a way of holding on and putting positive reaffirmations upon his life.
The award winning artist goes on to share that he laid the Foundation of the song in just one take , and thats when he knew that this was a very special project to him.
“Words will never be able to capture what this moment means to me. I wrote this song in one of the hardest moments in my life. The opening lines were written in ICU where 2moro was not guaranteed and all we had was the moment to live in and hope to allow us to dream about a getaway when all the darkness would subside. When I recorded this song, I laid it down in one take. There and then I KNEW my heart and soul was in it and that we had managed to capture an emotion that was beautifully conveyed in the form of a song” he wrote.
He continued to thank all the fans who supported the song and also related with the lyric to the song with regards to their own experiences, and hold sentiment to the song because of that. Joao also gave a shout out to the team and their music label family for all the hard work throughout his decade long career.
“The fact that YOU all have found your own meaning in this song and have essentially made it the Gold selling record it is is such a blessing and way more than I ever could’ve asked for. I know a lot of you have found light in this song and many of you have gone on a little ‘getaway’ because of this song. I know it’s been a sound track to many special moments and that’s all I wanted to leave with you” he wrote.
