Mzansi Couple Arrested For Dealing In Drugs

A young Mzansi couple has been arrested following their alleged involvement in drugs.

These two young people whose ages are 23 and 21 were arrested in Lindley and all crystal meth and cash that were found on them seized.

This was contained in a recent statement released by the police and in the statement, it was revealed that they were arrested on May 10 and this was after police officers who reported on duty headed to Lindley-Ntha following information from the community with regard to a certain suspect selling drugs in the area.

The statement reads;

LINDLEY – Bethlehem Public Order Police Task Team members arrested a couple at their residence for possession of crystal meth.

On 10 May 2021 at about 05:00 the members reported on duty and headed to Lindley-Ntha following information from community with regard about a certain suspect selling drugs in the area.

The team proceeded to Ntha Township to an identified house with a shack inside the yard where the couple was found. Reportedly, upon searching, the team found cash and Crystal meth weighing 2.08 grams, 10 medium packets and 5 small packets worth an estimated street value of R1250.00.

Two suspects aged 23 and 21 were arrested and detained for dealing in drugs. They are expected to appear before Lindley Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, 11 May 2021 facing a charge of dealing in drugs.
