The Daily Show host usual discuss social issues such as police brutality, racism and others on his shows if he is not making fun of former US president Donald Trump.
This doesn’t sit well for Doug, who argues that Trevor should not be so outspoken because he has little to no experience with issues such as police brutality in the States, racism and so forth.
Doug says Trevor should just take a back seat and enjoy his wealthy life or go back to South Africa.
“He’s South African he comes to America looking for a better life, he is provided one and then he has the nerve to talk sh*t about how bad every one is. I preferred you just stayed home and not have any part of our society because YOU are the problem.
“You come over here, you talk about how badly black people in America have it, how the fk would you know? How do you know that? You’ve never struggled in this country, you live in mansions, you’re taking it easy. What’s your fu*ng struggle?”
Meanwhile, in other news, Trevor recently topped the trending list when he got thrown under the bus in a thought-provoking interview with former US president Barak Obama. It all started when Trevor asked the former US president how has he managed to transition from being president of the US to be “an ordinary citizen.” He asked him how he views or reacts to social issues he sees on television as a person who is no longer in that ‘powerful position.’
“When you transition back to personal life, I wonder what that is like, because unlike you I do not have that power to change the world or do something about it. Because in many ways you are like me…you see a thing on TV and you get angry or sad and can’t really do something about it,” Trevor asked.
Barack Obama laughed off the slight dig and responded by saying “Well, first of all I am not anything like you. I still have a lot more influence and clout. So let’s just be clear and try to keep things in perspective.”
