The lady shared this in post she made in the popular South African Facebook group, #ImStaying where she indicated that the encounter happened on Easter Saturday, April 3.
According to her, her mom had stroke, so she took her to a clinic adding that her mom’s condition was bad so they had to wait for ambulance to take her a bigger hospital.
Her mom was then given a stretch bed as they waited for the ambulance. She indicated that the ambulance took so long because there were other emergencies that were before them and they only took 2 people at a time.
She was sitting in the clinic chair and was visibly freezing, and this Samaritan nurse came to her and showed her kindness.
Making the post, she wrote;
“Hello everyone, on Saturday night of Easter weekend i had my staying moment sorry I took so long to tell y’all about it my phone had a problem.My mom had stroke, so i took her to a clinic near us which is Hlengisizwe clinic in Hammarsdale unit 6. My mom’s condition was bad so we had to wait for ambulance to take her to Marianhill hospital. They put my mom on a stretch bed and they put 2 drips on her. The ambulance took so long because there were other emergencies that were before us and they only took 2 people at a time. I was sitting at the clinic chair from 9 till the early morning and i was freezing, around 3 o’clock the Samaritan nurse came to me and said “I can see that you are feeling cold, why don’t you use one of patients bed and sleep on it. I will wake you up when the ambulance is here.” She gave me clean sheet from the draw and told me that I can use it as a blanket. Unfortunately the ambulance came when I just put my head down but am very grateful for what she did. That’s the reason am staying
