South African media personality Anele Mdoda has clapped back at Netizens, who dragged her for gushing over her beauty in a recent post.
It all started when Anele posted an innocent selfie showing off her make-up game. But it was the photo that got her in trouble. It was the caption which got some tweeps riled up.
Anele wrote: “Andimhle ngathi ndi thengisa iPONDS !!!!! Morning let’s go”
Which means the way she is so beautiful, it’s like she sells Ponds.
This didn’t go down well with many tweeps who think Anele is only beautiful because of the make-ups she does.
While some loved her look, others quickly dug up her previous criticism of US singer Kelly Rowland and used it against her.
In 2019, Anele came under fire for her thoughts on Kelly Roland’s make-up.
In a now-deleted tweet, Anele said Kelly only “looks amazing with make-up”, adding that she had “receipts”.
This lead to an uproar on Twitter, with many tweeps calling out Anele to apologize but she stood on her grounds.
“To me. Yes that’s me, not you, me, even Serena is hotter. If my opinion shakes you so much please consult your therapist and not me,” said Anele.
Anele has taken to the timeline to clap back at those criticizing her and reminded followers that she is unbothered by the insults in her mentions.
“The thing about Twitter is just because you send an insult does not mean I will be insulted. Save your data for when you leave Wi-Fi zones. Trust, sihappy, thina,” she wrote.
A tweep replied to her in a now-deleted tweet, continuing to question her past opinions on make-up.
It don’t go down well with Anele who slammed back.
