In a special edition of SA favourite podcast with MacG, controversial music fanatic and record label owner Nota Baloyi was the guest. One of the topics discussed was rapper Emtee’s alleged drug addiction.
The controversial Nota condemned the rapper for using drugs saying he has been in numerous accidents because he was high off lean.
“At the end of the day, we need that guy to stay sober because we’ve seen what happened to him on drugs. He crashed two Mercedes Benz’s and then ran away immediately after both of those accidents. And then he crashed his own car, that is the reason why he was sober when he did that interview with you.
“You can see the effects of lean and whatever drugs he is taking has had on him. He is a superstar everyone loves his music we are supporting Logan, but at the end of the day, if we’re not gonna get the best out of Emtee then he is not going to live a long life. He will not be able to take his children to university like other parents are able to do,” he said.

Meanwhile, Emtee was a guest on the show recently and he opened the lid on certain issues that got him trending on social media.
The rapper opened up about how he and some other artists got exploited by his former record label Ambitiouz Records and how t hey contributed in him being homeless.
Ambitiouz gifted Emtee with a lavish apartment when they first signed him. But Emtee said at first they took care of the bills, but as time went he started receiving electrical and water bills and he also had to pay rent.
When he was asked “what happens if he beefed with these people, would he lose everything?”
Emtee replied by saying; “That was always at the back of my mind, and every time the answer would be ‘yes’, they will do that.” After leaving the record label he went very broke. He even revealed his shocking salary he received from the label saying it was just under 20K, whereas they were making around 50K per show he was performing in.”
He also mentioned that he does not any other drug expect smoking of weeds and also addressed the problem he was having with his wife and the mother of his babies.
