The City of Cape Town is currently in flames as this comes after a wildfire hit the city on Sunday, April 18.
So far, the fire has destroyed Cape Town’s Table Mountain National Park, and also damaged buildings.

In an update by the EyeWitness News, one person who is suspected to have started the fire has been arrested.
The renowned new outlet made this known in a recent post on Twitter and it reads;
“#CapeTownFires BREAKING The City of Cape Town has confirmed a man is in custody, on suspicion of starting one of the fires that’s still raging on the slopes of Table Mountain.
#CapeTownFires As firefighters battled the fire break between Rhodes Memorial and the slopes above Vredehoek, they received several calls that people were making fires in the bush.
#CapeTownFires The City’s JP Smith : “They took calls….indicating that they had seen people moving through the bush starting fires [by] three individuals.”
#CapeTownFires Smith says when law enforcement officials arrived they found a resident had detained one of the three. On questioning him, he initially said he was trying to stop the fire and then said he had started it.”
