TNS Reveals Who Is Sabotaging Him

Taking to his Facebook account, the star criticized the radio station for trying to sabotage him by not playing his recent single Umhlaba Wonke featuring Dlala Thukzin, which he released in February. TNS recently released the song’s visuals and has been busily promoting it on all social media platforms.

The KZN based radio station only plays his old music and not the current single. As a born and bred native of the province, the singer reckons that they should be supporting him as he has done so too in the past.

According to the musician, he had performed in Gagasi FM’s show for free in the past when he was still an up and coming musician. So for them to not support his career and being consistent is very disheartening.

“Gagasi FM, please play my song. KZN is also my home and I love you #UmhlabaWonke…I think there’s an issue. I say this because I’ve been the station’s resident DJ on Fridays since 2019. I never got paid and I didn’t ask for a salary because I needed the platform. At the Durban July, I also played for free at its marquee. I did ask for a minimal fee but the station refused to pay me. Again I had no issues with that. But now I am disappointed that the station is sabotaging my work,” he wrote.

The spokesperson of the radio station has responded to the claims by stating in an interview with the Daily Suns that the song is just not up to standard and not good enough to get played on it’s platform.

“We can confirm that TNS’s song was received and went through the music committee review process. However, it was not approved by the committee as it was deemed not strong enough for playlisting…Unfortunately this release didn’t match the standard of previous releases,” said the station’s spokesperson.
