Moropa will be playing the role of Mbali on the show and speaking to the Daily Sun publication, the actress shared her excitement of the new role. This is a new challenge for Lorraine with regards to her acting range and is beyond grateful for the opportunity.

“I was really excited when I was told about the role, especially when I realized that this role is different from the ones that I have played before” she said.

Another reason that got her attention for the role is the title of the production, claiming that she is aware that any other equally as talented actress could have been awarded with the role however, she is over the moon that the production trusted her with the role.

“I really felt blessed because they could have selected anyone for the role and out of everyone they audition they chose me, which is affirmation and a pat on the back” Moropa said.

Lorraine described the character of Mbali as witty and career driven just like she is in real life. Mbali is said to be a beautiful hard working young lady who recently completed studying a make up course and is determined on making the big time by becoming a make up artist for a local telenovela. The one thing that Mbali try’s to change is the perception that people have about girls from the kasi and doesn’t want the label to be what limits her and her talent.

The actress shared the challenges that came with her taking on the role which include speaking a language that she is not at all used to but appreciates the experience as this something that she has been wanting for her career to show the growth that she has undergone since setting foot in to the industry.

“Breathing life into the character has been amazing and educational at the same time as she challenged me and took me out of my comfort zone. I am not using my mother tongue this time around but this is something I have always wanted to experience” she said.

She continued to share that the pandemic has made it hard for many people including herself to get work as she has been unemployed for a while now which is nothing out of the ordinary for the entertainment industry. This has influenced her mentality that securing bags is nothing but the mercies of God.
