Lawrence Maleka Scores A New Hosting Gig. Theres nothing we love seeing more than favourite actors being within the bag and The River heartthrob actor Lawrence Maleka who plays Zolani in the award winning telenovela, has just scored himself a new hosting gig.

We are super excited that fans will now be seeing more of Lawrence as the host of a brand new dating game show titled Too Hot To Be Single, which will be premiering on SABC1. Taking to social media, the actor revealed the news and his fans are beyond excited to see him make a return to presenting after 4 years of being awol.

“I am pleased to announce that I’ll be joining @mzansi_fosho as the host of their brand new dating game show Too Hot To Be Single. Tune in on Thursday, 8 April @21:00 on SABC 1 to find out if the Too Hot To Be Singles are able to find their perfect match” he wrote.

Too Hot to Be Single is described as a modern dating game show designed to find a match for people who think they are too hot to find love by using everyday methods such as social media and dating apps. Too Hot to Be Single will feature singles who are looking to score a date with someone they think is of equal sex appeal as they are. Lawrence will be assisting six hopeful through a series of trials to impress the hot single.

The show is also focused on helping the singles find love but also points out the shallowness and vanity that comes with dating in the modern day.

SABC1 brand manager Phuthi Moloto has mentioned their excitement of having Maleka as part of the production as he carries the required personal qualities that are needed to make sure the production becomes a success with the audience.

“We are very excited to finally have Lawrence as part of the SABC1 family. “Too Hot To Be Single” requires a host that is suave, charming, and can think on his feet. Channel is 100% confident that Lawrence is the perfect fit for this fun and light-hearted dating show. We can’t wait for our viewers to see how incredibly talented he is” Phuthi Moloto said.

The show is set to air on Thursday, 8th April 2021 at 21:00 on SABC 1.
