Mzansi celebs have come out in their numbers to support TV presenter Lesego Tlhabi popularly known as Coconut Kelz after she was body-shamed by renowned fashion designer Quiteria Kekana.
Taking to her Twitter account the actress narrated what happened at Quiteria’s place when she went there to get a dress.
“So today I went to a famous designer who was told my sizes way beforehand because it’s for TV. Does he not then declare very loudly in the store after a failed try-on that he has nothing for me & then uses words like ‘fatty boom boom’ to describe how I’d look in the designs. Yoh,” she said.
This didn’t go down well with the media personality who brought to light how conversations like this causes a surge in the discrimination against fat people.
“To the conversation this week, this is why fatphobia is so different from other shaming. I was made to feel like less than nothing today because of my body. My body is not good enough for his dresses & he let that sh*t be known.”
Quiteria has come out to deny those allegations calling it a fiction and stated that he is not going to offer any form of apology to the media personality.
