The issue of rape was a hot topic on social media following news that the National Prosecuting Authority will not be prosecuting DJ duo DJ Fresh and Euphonik. DJ Fresh took to social media to announce that the prosecutor has dismissed the case on the basis that the allegations have no merits. The news has since been greeted with mixed reactions on social media of which Prince Kaybee also weighed in to make an impassioned plea even though he did not make reference to the DJ duo. Taking to his Twitter account Prince Kaybee wrote: “Please report rape immediately.”
His comments didn’t go down well with many Twitter users who explained it was not always possible report rape cases immediately. Others with their own experiences explained that whether the case is reported early or late most at times the culprits always get away with it.
